Health and Safety Policy
Baythorpe shed maintains a register of members together with a list of the tools and machinery that they are either self-certified or trained to use. If you are not either of the above, then you may ONLY use the relevant tool or machine whilst under instruction.
Shedders
Only work with equipment if you can be focused and able. The Shed is not just a place to work at but is for some down time too.
Help maintain an atmosphere that encourages engagement, communication and avoids isolation of individuals. It’s OK to not be OK!
Be aware of what others are doing in the workspace around you. You are in a shared space and need to consider and adapt to others.
Common sense used and all Shedders act as safety advocates.
Undertake to wear the appropriate PPE where required together with closed toe shoes with a good grip.
